From Tailgates to Trophies: A Winning Season at Montclair
As the seasons changed and the air turned crisp, our community embraced every opportunity to come together, celebrate, and give back throughout the fall and winter months.
October brought a wonderful opportunity to support a meaningful cause as we participated in a bocce ball tournament benefiting Henry Ford Rochester Hospital. With the help of board member Mario Moceri, sponsored teams made up of friends, family, construction partners, and vendors came together for an evening of friendly competition and community support. Representing Moceri Companies was the dedicated Montclair staff team, including Property Manager Martha Moceri and husband Jaime Rodriguez, alongside husband-and-wife project manager duo Karen and Bill Moroso. The tournament showcased the strong relationships built throughout the community, with teams challenging one another while raising money for a great cause. In the final moments of the tournament, the Moceri Companies team secured the championship victory over Dr. Jeffrey DeClair’s office team — even outperforming professional bocce league members — bringing the trophy back to Montclair for the second year in a row.
October also featured one of our most popular social media events of the season — the Best Pets of Montclair contest. Residents proudly shared photos of their beloved pets, while friends and family joined in to “like” their favorites all the way to the top. The community response was incredible, with so much participation and excitement surrounding the contest. In the end, a lovable little kitty named Sushi captured everyone’s hearts and took home the grand prize: a PetSmart gift card for a special shopping spree.
As we moved into November, the community gathered once again for a Lions tailgating party filled with game day favorites, drinks, and plenty of hometown spirit. Residents enjoyed cheering on Detroit together while spending time with neighbors and friends in a relaxed and festive atmosphere.
To close out the year, our Christmas Happy Hour gave everyone a chance to unwind and celebrate the season together. Guests enjoyed strolling appetizers, great wine, and an evening full of laughter and conversation. The usual familiar faces came dressed in their holiday best, making the gathering feel warm, welcoming, and full of fellowship.
The fall and winter months were a wonderful reminder of how much can be accomplished when community, generosity, and connection come together.
